The Biofarm Bucuresti (BIO) pharma producer sales rose by 4.7% during the first semester, to 61.1 million lei (EUR 13.7 million), while the profit rose by 9%, to 14.74 million lei (EUR 3.3 million), according to the financial results for the first semester of the company.
During the first six months of the last year, the company recorded sales of 58.37 million lei and a profit of 13.54 million lei.
The Biofarm result from the first semester of the last year was positively influenced by the gross income of 1.4 million lei, compared to 77.000 lei in the first six months of this year.
Still, Biofarm recorded smaller expenditures with the levies this year, of 734.000 lei, compared to 2.12 million lei a year ago.
The company is controlled by SIF Muntenia (SIF4), by 51.7% of the shares, while other important shareholders are SIF Banat-Crişana (SIF1), by 21.3%, and SIF Moldova (SIF2), by 13.8%.
The Biofarm shares were today on the decrease by 1.3%, to 0.281 lei, a quotation where the capitalization is at 307.6 million lei (EUR 69.3 million).
