Greece urges its creditors to complete the analysis of its reforms until May 1st

Greek finance minister Euclid Tsakalotos yesterday urged the country's international creditors to complete the review of the reform measures adopted in Athensby May 1st and to put an end to the long talks about the pension cuts, respectively.

"This issue of time is important, if we want to exit a vicious circle and enter a virtuous one", said Euclid Tsakalotos, quoted by German publication Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

We remind that last week, Euclid Tsakalotos said that Greece can not accept the demands of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), one of the its creditors, for new pension cuts, to achieve a budget surplus in two years.

An analysis of creditors, launched this year, was stopped in February, due to the reform of the pension system.

"We cannot continue to infinitely debate the pension reform, like keeping a wound open", said Tsakalotos, who added: "Pensions are part of the social security system."

If Greece doesn't get its creditors' approval for reforms, the finance ministers in the Eurozone can not authorize the payment of the next tranche to Athens.
