International recognition in the field of cybersecurity

The competence of Romanian specialists in cybersecurity is recognized and appreciated, and Romania holds a special position in this field, claims the president of the Romanian Association for Information Security Assurance (ARASEC), Ioan Bacivarov. According to him: "Romania has a special position in the field of cybersecurity, and the competence of Romanian specialists in the field is recognized and appreciated. Proof of this is the choice of Romania as host of the European Center of Competences in the Field of Cybersecurity, whose inauguration took place recently in Bucharest. Cooperation of all the factors involved is a key word if a strong and efficient cybersecurity system is to be developed at the national level. Conferences such as CyberCon Romania can facilitate the exchange of ideas and the establishment of partnerships in this important field".

In the vision of the head of ARASEC, a strong culture in cybersecurity can only be developed through a collaboration between several entities from the public, private and academic sectors: "CyberCon Romania 2024 is an event organized in the European Union within the framework of the European Cybersecurity Month, the annual campaign dedicated to promoting awareness and good practices in the field of cybersecurity in the member states. CyberCon Romania 2024 is also part of the series of several scientific events and meetings organized by RAISA - the Romanian Association for Information Technology and Security Assurance, in 2024 to honor the one hundred years of quality science. RAISA's vision is to promote research and education in the field of information security to contribute to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and technology in this field and to create a strong cybersecurity culture at the national level. We are aware that achieving a strong cybersecurity culture can only be achieved through a joint effort of several entities from the public, private and academic sectors". ARASEC, in collaboration with the Embassy of the United States of America in Romania, organized a new edition of the international conference CyberCon Romania 2024.
