An important Chinese construction company plans to build an apartment building in Arad and to participate in tenders for infrastructure works. Last year, representatives of China Dalian International Cooperation Holding (CDIG) were involved in the most important projects of the Arad City Hall regarding the modernization of railways and infrastructure, as well as dwelling construction.
Arad"s mayor Gheorghe Falca said: "CDIG representatives have showed special interest in participating in the construction of an apartment building in Micalaca neighbourhood, close to the Billa store. We are honored by the interest showed by a company as large as CDIG in our projects, which is a sign that our projects are realistic and viable".
He added that the Chinese company is also interested in building several underground parking lots, and in participating in the tender that will award a contract for refurbishment works financed through funding from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
China Dalian International Cooperation (Group) Holding is one of the largest construction companies worldwide, with 20 years of experience in this field (infrastructure and real estate), and also one of the most active companies in international maritime transport. Other companies in Chinese province Hainan have also been informed about the investment opportunities in Arad and they are welcome to develop their businesses in this city.
