EnglishTwo communities in Timis County, Boldur and Manastiur, now enjoy running water and sewerage systems following investments of over 1.8 million USD made in the last few years. The Timis County Council is preparing to transfer the system under the authority of the local councils.
Timis County Council Chairman Constantin Ostaficiuc said seven other similar investments would soon be commissioned in the county. The investment in Boldur cost 860,000 USD from governmental and county funds. The investment in Manastiur cost some 1 million USD. Both started in 2005.
The villages of Izvin, Bozasu Vechi and Petrovaselo will soon benefit from similar developments under a 3.8 million RON budget provided by the Government. This investment is scheduled for commissioning in 2008. Another project would create a sewerage system for Recas and Izvin with European financing. Some 10 million EUR will be allocated to lay asphalt on several rural roads in Timis.
