Last year, Intercapital Invest recorded trades with stocks and mutual fund shares on the regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange of 522 million lei, up 6.3% over the previous year, according to a press release of the company.
The value of the company's derivatives trades traded on the BSE was 6.8 million lei. The value of trades with structured products amounted to 1.8 million lei, and the volume in bond trades was 1.9 million lei.
On Sibex, Intercapital Invest intermediated derivatives trades amounting to 564.7 million lei in 2011, up 10.2% over the previous year. The value of trading with stocks on Sibex was 4.7 million lei.
The number of customers of Intercapital Invest reached 4,770 at the end of the year 2011, compared to 4,524 at the end of 2010 and 4,257 at the end of 2009. The estimated turnover of the company for 2011, amounted to 2.1 million lei, compared to 2.6 million lei in 2010 and 2.8 million lei in 2009.
At the end of 2011, SAI Intercapital Investment Management, the asset management subsidiary of SSIF Intercapital Invest, had total assets of 11.0 million lei under management, compared to 14.2 million lei at the end of December 2010. The estimated turnover of SAI Intercapital Investment Management was 0.79 million lei in 2011, compared to 0.26 million lei in 2010.
• Intercapital Invest projects in 2011
> The joint intermediation of the listing of real estate investment company New Europe Property Investments (NEPI) on the regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. NEPI is already being traded on the AIM segment of the London Stock Exchange and on the main market of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, and is the first real estate investment company listed on the Romanian stock market. Intercapital Invest has also brokered the listing on the BSE of the issue of rights pertaining to a share capital increase of NEPI.
> The intermediation of the transfer of companies Electromagnetica and Artego from the Rasdaq to the regulated market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. Prior to the transfer, they were some of the most significant companies traded on the Rasdaq market.
> The selection of the consortium which included Intercapital Invest for the intermediation of the secondary public offering of Transelectrica, a major step in the program of the Romanian government for mass privatization through the stock market. The offering is scheduled to take place in Q1 2012.
> Innovations for increasing the efficiency of the brokerage and trading activities:
- the optimization of the money transfer into the accounts of Intercapital customers through the online banking systems of the most important banks in Romania;
- the offering, as a first in Romania, of the ArenaXT trading platform for the trading of derivatives on the BSE.
