MAKE (Translated by Cosmin Ghidoveanu)

Famous painter and illustrator Eugen Mihăescu (writer, publicist, politician; professor of the "Theory of idea in arts" in New York and member of the Romanian Academy) sent our newsroom the sketch of an idea for the 30-year anniversary issue of our newspaper. The first issue of BURSA appeared on August 10 1990.

The anniversary caught him unprepared, so he has expressed his regret that his idea is just a sketch.

Mr. and Mrs. Mihăescu have constantly participated in the BURSA awards of these last few years (even though, sometimes, that has involved coming over from Switzerland) and they are participating in the celebration this time as well.

According to Wikipedia, Eugen Mihăescu "has created 69 covers for the weekly The New Yorker and has collaborated with many other American publications: Time Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic Monthly, Vogue, as well as European ones: Le Monde, Le Figaro".

We are honored to publish Mr. Eugen Mihăescu's sketch, conceived especially for BURSA.
