Almost 60% of small and medium enterprises in Bucharest outsource their IT infrastructure, according to study by Ka&Te Associates, which used a sample of 200 companies. As these companies have few computers or a minimalist infrastructure, they prefer to outsource their IT support services, in order to cut costs, the press release sent to our editors says.
Just 12.5% of the companies surveyed have their internal IT department or dedicated staff in this sector, while 79% of the companies which participated in the study, don"t have an internal IT department. The most important category that stands out in the study are companies that outsource the administration of their IT infrastructure and receive remote assistance. Thus, 60% of companies with a turnover of up to 50 million Euros prefer entrusting the administration of their IT infrastructure to specialized companies.
Outsourcing the administration of IT infrastructure brings benefits such as cutting costs by as much as 50% and freeing up time for the company"s employees.
The economic crisis also led to an increase in the quality of IT services, with most of the interviewed companies stating they were happy or very happy with their outside service providers.
