The Unirea Medical Centre (CMU) on Friday inaugurated a new clinic in Cluj Napoca, the CMU Pasteur, built on an overall surface of 400 square metres with a total investment of 0.7 million EUR in equipment and interior finishing, not including the operating capital. As CMU\"s first clinic in the area came to 5,000 patients, the company decided to open a second clinic in order to improve service time and offer better integrated services to European standards.
\"At business level, we have carefully analysed the growth potential of a city such as Cluj and come to the conclusion that any initiative designed to satisfy rising demand for quality medical services is welcome. The CMU Pasteur is designed to cover the medical needs of 30,000 people per year, residents of Cluj Napoca and the surrounding areas, which means approximately 5 per cent of the local population,\" said Mihai Cotul, Development Manager of CMU - Cluj.
