The Ministry of the Economy proposes a draft Government decision for keeping the maximum average number of employees in the defense industry at 1600. According to the justification note, the Government had already planned cutting the average number of employees to 1300, 300 less than in 2008. But the Ministry is now proposing the number of employees remain unchanged, as there are still ongoing privatizations in the defense sector, and there is a stringent need for employees. Thus the wage fund will be supplemented by seven million lei. If the decision gets approved, "Romarm" will keep 1300 employees, and "Avioane Craiova" will keep its 300 employees.
