Aluminum parts maker UACE Maramureş will export metallic structures to companies such as Airbus, Alenia and Boeing, after the development of the production facilities through an investment financed by the EBRD with 25 million Euros.
Universal Alloy Corporation Europe SRL of Dumbrăviţa, county of Maramureş is part of the aerospace engineering division of the Swiss-Austrian group Montana Tech Components.
The investment is aimed at developing the production facilities for aircraft parts and will lead to the assembly of products with a higher added value, as well as to the streamlining of the company's operations.
Upon completion of the project, the UACE will be able to provide aircraft makers, such as Airbus, Alenia or Boeing, with metallic structure parts made in Romania, according to a press release sent yesterday by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (BERD).

Thus, strong demand will maintain a solid request for new airplanes, therefore for the aluminum parts made by UACE, in the medium and long term", the general manager of the company, John Ball said, in a press release.
In June, the EBRD announced that the 25 million Euros financing for UACE is aimed at a project of 60 million Euros, with the difference to be covered by the company out of its own resources.
