EnglishContinental Hotels will open in the next three years at least seven hotels in several Romanian cities. The hotels managed by Accor and Ibis will be located in Timisoara, Targu Mures, Sibiu, Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj and Iasi. The hotels will be built, developed or refurbished and will have a capacity of 120-193 rooms.
The company plans to open the first hotel in September 2008 inTimisoara, while the last one will be opened in Iasi, in May 2010. The hotels will have a total capacity of 1.600 rooms.
Continental Hotels will invest approximately 50 million EUR in order to finance, develop and refurbish the hotels. In addition to Ibis, Accor Group operates two more hotels in Romania, Sofitel and Novotel, both located in Bucharest.
