The company will hire F.I.F.A. agents to represent football players' interests

"Universitatea Craiova Football Club" Plc. has a capital of 97.32 billion ROL; shareholders still consider listing it on R.A.S.D.A.Q.

Dinel Staicu, the owner of the "Universitatea Craiova" football team, late last year established "The Football Players Exchange" Plc., a company whose core business consists of financial intermediation. "The Football Players Exchange" Plc. was created to provide professional management services to football players and will hire player managers certified as such by F.I.F.A., who will represent players' interests when signing contracts with football clubs.

Company officials said "The Football Players Exchange" Plc. would commence operations this summer, when the 2004-2005 football year begins. By then, "The Football Players Exchange" Plc. will have to obtain authorizations from the two professional authorities in the Romanian football industry: The Romanian Football Federation and The Professional Football League.

Shareholders in this company are F.P.P. "Oltenia" (the associated shareholders in S.I.F. "Oltenia"), "B.M.O. Oltenia" S.A., "The Universitatea Craiova Football Club Sports Association" Plc., The "Pater Comunitas Romaniae" Foundation and an individual, Vlad Rebega.

"The Football Players Exchange" Plc. has a share capital of 25 billion ROL.

Adrian Mititelu, president of The "Universitatea Craiova" Football Club, believes that this company will only become functional in the spring of 2005, when a share capital increase is possible. Dinel Staicu was first known as a Bucharest Stock Exchange player and especially as a major shareholder in S.I.F. "Oltenia." The association of shareholders in S.I.F. "Oltenia" was also his initiative. The members of this association hold a total of over ten percent in S.I.F. "Oltenia." Last year, Staicu turned The "Universitatea Craiova" Football Club into a shares company by the same name and issued shares intended for the fans to buy. Further plans included listing the club/company on R.A.S.D.A.Q. As very few investors rushed to buy shares, the listing was postponed.

Nevertheless, the big step could take place this year. Company officials told us they had already signed a registry contract with "Regisco," pending certification by The Office for Securities Registration. Presently, The "Universitatea Craiova Football Club" has a share capital of 97.32 billion ROL.
