EnglishAluminum producer ALRO - Slatina is prepared to offer salary raises of up to 20% this year and has negotiated the framework employment contract with the ALRO unions. In addition to the raise, the employees will also receive periodical bonuses. "The raises are in line with the specific jobs," said GM Gheorghe Dobra, explaining that the most difficult jobs would get the maximum raise, whereas unskilled workers would get a raise starting from 5%, whereas qualified personnel would get up to 20%. Employees will also receive 500 RON each in gift tickets on Easter, a 13th salary, a Christmas bonus and other incentives. ALRO will continue to focus on improving productivity following a 30% increment achieved since privatization. The output increased from 50 tons/employee in 2002 to 63 tons/employee in 2005. The target is 90 tons/employee in 2009. An investment program of 620 million USD has been prepared for this year.
