Alumil Stocks Suspended on BSE Following Greek CEO Abduction

Alumil Rom Industry (ALU) stocks were suspended from trading at the beginning of yesterday"s trading session of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) following the abduction of the Giorgios Milonas, the CEO of the Greek-based Group. The announcement was made by Ciprian Balasca, the CFO of the local subsidiary, quoted by NewsIn.Trading was suspended as of 10:38 a.m., following the application of a similar measure on the Athens Stock Exchange, which suspended trading of stocks in Alumil Milonas, the parent company of Alumil Rom Industry. "Trading was first suspended on the Athens Stock Exchange upon the company"s reaction to the abduction news. Afterwards, we took the same measure," said Balasca, adding that the company would consult the head office to see whether trading should be resumed today.Shortly before the suspension, ALU shares reached 5.55 RON following only six transactions worth 1,220 RON in total. ALU shares are traded on Tier II of BSE. The Romanian subsidiary of Alumil Milonas has a market value of 179.69 million RON (48.8 million EUR, calculated as per the 5.75 RON/share quotation set on Monday. Alumil Milonas holds 55.90% in Alumil Rom Industry. Michail Sotiriou holds 23.95%.
