ANAF employees postpone the protests

Versiunea în limba română

ANAF employees postponed, following discussions with Minister Marcel Boloş, the warning strike originally scheduled for today throughout the country. The postponement of the protest takes place after the leadership of the Ministry of Finance presented to the employees' representatives the draft emergency ordinance on the equalization of salary incomes at the maximum level for similar positions, a project that enters the interministerial approval procedure before being approved by the Government.

"The Executive Office of the National Federation of Finance Trade Unions, gathered in an extraordinary meeting, decided to postpone the protest actions scheduled for August 22 and 24, 2023 for a later date, which will be determined depending on the compliance with the commitments assumed for the settlement of our claims , respectively:

- Preservation of jobs

- The equalization of salaries at the maximum level in payment for each function, professional grade and gradation within the fiscal system

- The introduction in the new law of the remuneration of the "finance" occupational family and a salary scale corresponding to the complexity of the activity carried out", it is stated in the press release issued last night at the closing of the edition by the employees' representatives.

We mention that earlier, during the day, the union leaders had announced that the ANAF employees were going to be on a warning strike today, for two hours, and some of them were going to picket the headquarters of Misterului Finanţel Publice.

"Tomorrow (ed. - today) there will be a warning strike across the country, where we have new members, and a picket at the Ministry of Finance. There are many reasons, they are older, I have been announcing them in recent months. We kept trying to negotiate with the Government, but we didn't succeed. We want to keep the jobs, keep the income and a status of our own. The main action tomorrow is the warning strike. This is from 8:00 to 10:00. Picketing is from 9:00 to 10:00. After this, at least two days must pass and we can start the actual strike. We will probably move towards that, but it is long-term, you have to solve some procedures, we have to see if the Government is willing to talk with us and solve more requests or not. So we don't know what will happen in the future, but the next possible step is the actual strike", declared yesterday morning, Dorin Modure, the president of the Federation of Trade Unions from the Fiscal Administration "Solidarity", quoted by Agerpres.

We remind you that more than 15,000 employees from the structures of the Ministry of Finance from all over the country started spontaneous protests on August 11, dissatisfied with the measures proposed by the Executive to reduce budget expenses, given that they could affect more than 22,000 people in the system.

On that occasion, the Minister of Finance, Marcel Boloş, stated that no employee from the Fiscal will be laid off and that an analysis will be carried out regarding the vacancies that must be filled quickly to boost ANAF's activity.
