EnglishCharcuterie producer Angst, one of the top players in the field, will expand this year by opening five new stores in the western area of our country, thus reaching 29 units, according to a company press release.
Angst will open two stores in Cluj and three in Oradea. The company"s development strategy for the western area of the country started in January 2007, when it entered the Cluj market and teamed up with local meat processor Discovery.
In the first development phase, Angst will invest 1 million EUR in order to bring the stores to company standards. This year, the company also plans to invest 3 million EUR in a new producltion facility located in Buftea.
In the first quarter of the current year, Angst"s turnover rose by 16% from the same period last year, while net profit increased by 20%.
