State-held drug maker Antibiotice SA - Iasi has asked shareholders to convene on 21. April and vote on the motion to distribute gross dividends of 0.027 RON/share for the fiscal year 2007. The calculation was made in line with Government Ordinance 64/2001 regarding the distribution of profit made by State-controlled companies. The result is to be certified by auditors.
Antibiotice distributed dividends of 0.222 RON/share for 2006, up by nearly 50% than the 0.0148 RON/share distributed for 2005. The company has reported a preliminary Y2007 turnover of 229,416,000 RON, up by 17% y/y. If converted to EUR, the turnover is 68,479,000, up by 23% y/y. The company is one of the top 10 medicine producers in Romania and has a market share of 3.1%. Sales on the domestic market amounted to 211.6 million RON, up by 18.5% from 2006.
Operating revenues amounted to 236,642,708 RON, whereas operating expenses totalled 194,866,744 RON. The operating profit was therefore 41,755,964 RON. The overall gross profit was 36,617,493 RON, up by 22% y/y. The company is controlled by the State with 53.0173%, followed by SIF Oltenia with 10.09% and Citibank Romania with 5.05%. The remaining 31.84% is controlled by other shareholders.
