EnglishHome appliances producer Arctic reported a turnover of 194 million EUR for 2006, up 30% compared to 2005, when the company posted 150 million EUR in turnover.
Total sales volume rose to over 1.440.000 units in 2006, while exports reached 741.000 units, up over 60% from 2005. The export growth was due to the company"s expansion to new markets.
On the domestic market, Arctic sold 700.000 units, of which 300.000 were refrigerators.
Arctic is the leader on the Romanian home appliance market, with a market share of 31,7% in 2006, up 3% from 2005. The company is part of Arcelik Group, which ranks third on the European home appliance market.
