Home appliance manufacturer Arctic Gaesti reported a turnover of 99 million EUR for the first half of 2007, recording a 24% increase from the same period last year, according to a company press release.
Sales volume rose by over 12% from the first half of 2006 to 691.000 units, mainly due to an increase in sales of sophisticated products. The growth rate is also a result of investment in technology and the increase of the Gaest plant"s production capacity. Exports totalled 411,000 units, increasing by 60,000 units from the same period last year.
Arctic ended 2006 with a turnover of over 726 million RON (206 million EUR), up 30% from 2005, while sales totalled 1.44 million units. Last year, the company"s gross profit amounted to 52.5 million RON (14.91 million EUR), recording an 11% increase from 2005. Arctic holds a 31.7% market share on the home appliance segment.
Arctic is part of the Turkish group Arcelik since 2002. Between 2002-2005, Arcelik Group invested approximately 35 million EUR in the Gaesti manufacturing plant and tripled its production capacity. Arcelik Group ended 2006 with a turnover of 3.9 billion EUR.
