Armatura - Cluj to Invest 13 Mln EUR in Next Two Years

In the period 2000-2006, the manufacturer of household taps Armatura Cluj-Napoca has invested 2.8 million EUR in production equipment, environment care and product development. The company plans to invest approximately 13 million EUR in the next two years in order to set up new production lines and modernize its production facilities.

Armatura Cluj-Napoca ended 2006 with a turnover of 29,065,270 RON, while exports generated revenues of 7,516,941 RON. The company plans to consolidate its position in the market and expand its client and product portfolio. For the current fiscal year, the company expects a turnover of 50.2 million RON and a net profit of 3.8 million RON.

Armatura posted a turnover of 8,795,391 RON in the first three months of 2007, compared with 5,766,021 in the same period last year. The company reported a net loss of 658,611 RON, compared with a net profit of 507,535 RON in Q1 2006.

Armatura Cluj Napoca is listed on Tier 2 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as ARM. The significant shareholders in the company are Herz Armaturen GmbH Viena, Austria (33.0%), Asam Armatura S.A. Cluj-Napoca (20.0%), Tridelta Heal Beteiligungsgesellschart Luxemburg (11.0%), Broadhurts Investments Ltd Nicosia, Cyprus (7.0%), Banca Transilvania S.A. Cluj-Napoca (5.0%), Erste Bank (5.0%) and others (19.0%).
