Asseco - Poland is interested in acquiring Siveco - Romania, one of the leading companies on the Romanian IT market, according to the Warsaw Business Journal. Adam Goral, CEO of Asseco, said: "We are truly interested in this company. Siveco is a good company so an acquisition like that will strengthen our position in the region, even though Asseco - Eastern Europe is already a strong company, ready to be listed on the Bourse." Even though the acquisition could cost Asseco a pretty penny, analysts quoted by the Warsaw Business Journal believe that such acquisition is quite profitable, especially in a country that has recently joined the European Union and must invest in new technologies.
