Insurer Astra Uniqa projects revenues of 140 million EUR from subscribed gross premiums for this year, up by 63% year-on-year. The company is also planning to diversify and develop its portfolio, increase profitability, develop the existing partnership with Raiffeisen Group, find other bancassurance partners, develop new sales channels and develop Uniqa Group Projects.
Astra Uniqa logged Y2006 subscribed gross premiums of 305,571,140 RON on life- and non-life insurance, up by 81.1% from 2005. The company generated 65.3 million RON from casco (+97.5%), 150.8 million RON from mandatory car insurance (+61.9%) and 16.9 million RON from building insurance (+66.6%). Claims paid by the company gained 41% from 87.5 million RON in 2005 to 123.1 million RON in 2006.
