Recent statements by the Russian Foreign Minister threatening the USA with a new world war aim to strengthen the confidence of the Russian population and soldiers, according to military expert Aurel Cazacu. He believes: "Lavrov has to follow Putin's policies, the policies of Russia, and they are defending their interests. The Russians have been unable to secure the part of Ukraine that interests them in two years, and now Russia is not fighting Ukraine; it is fighting NATO, it is fighting the United States. The Russians cannot acknowledge that others are stronger than them, so they have to make statements to show, supposedly, what powers they have and what great leaders they are in front of their own people. For the Russian soldier to fight, those who lead Russia must show that they are confident in final victory. It's normal for a Russian official to say, "We will win!' but I'm not sure he is aware of what to win, whom to win against, and what to conquer... because any conquered territory needs to be controlled, requires management, and that's not a simple problem."

Aurel Cazacu highlights that we have a dual position - that of Romanians and that of NATO members - and that we must be aware of everything we do in the event of an attack, both as a country and as a NATO member, positioned at the border with the war. The specialist also told us: "At the moment, nobody wants peace, because, through arming, three problems are solved - the enemy is deterred, the confidence of the country's population in victory and protection is increased, and economic development occurs. We, Romanians, have destroyed the defense industry, and this year, for the big arms manufacturers, Romania had a big problem, namely that it was an election year. The major military procurements in all countries are made in pre-election years and election years. This is because all arms contracts are made in secret, and thus, in the arms domain, there is no shelf price. For example, a bullet is now produced for 30 cents and sold for 5 dollars. That's why no one wants to stop the war - neither the Russians nor the Americans, nor the Chinese, nor anyone, because weapons are sold at unimaginable prices. The efficiency of ammunition usage in the war in Ukraine is 6%, meaning that out of 100 bullets, only six hit the target. The rest means money in circulation. We have reached the point where Americans and other NATO countries are asking us to produce in Romania because, compared to the war in Ukraine, we have a great advantage - we have a common border and a border on the north of Romania and the west of Ukraine, where the conflict is somewhat weaker and supplies can be delivered there. Funding for the Ukrainian army comes either from Europe or, 90% of it, from America - these are large sums we are talking about. In addition, any theater of war is a testing ground for new weapons, and that's where they are tested."

According to the cited source, economic development always follows wars, meaning progress. For example, through the imports it makes, Romania develops economically. Also, people make technical progress, cultivating themselves technologically, says Aurel Cazacu, adding: "Now, when a weapon is sold, the first question is which conflicts it has participated in because the price of a bullet that has been in a conflict zone is three times higher than that of a bullet that has not; likewise for vehicles, tanks, planes, missiles, submarines, etc., all are recycled."
