EnglishThe Authority for the Recovery of State Assets failed in its attempt to sell the stake it holds in Moldoplast Iaşi (MLPL, listed on the Rasdaq tier of the Bucharest Stock Exchange). According to officials of the Communications Department of AVAS, the auction scheduled for September 15th, received no bids and no investors acquired the tender book.
AVAS had announced its intention to sell a 1% stake (112,541 shares) it holds in Moldoplast SA, with the starting price set at 5 lei/share. The last trading price for shares of Moldoplast was 1.3 lei/share, in the trading session of August 20, 2009.
The line of business of SC Moldoplast SA Iaşi is the production of primary plastic shapes. The company"s majority shareholder is "Internaţional Import Export Company" Iaşi, with a stake of 96.36%. Other shareholders include AVAS - 1%, individual investors - 2.42%, and legal persons - 0.21%.
