Avery Dennison Opens New Distribution Centre

Avery Dennison has opened a new distribution centre, in Timisoara. Managed by Sergiu Schiopu, the site is the newest addition to the widest European distribution network in the labelling industry. Designed to serve customers in Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Moldova and Romania, the centre brings substantial improvement to delivery times to label converters in the region. The "next-day delivery" option is the most appreciated as it can reduce the already short delivery times by up to three days, depending on country.

The centre in Timisoara has the latest equipment for slitting, core-cutting, rewinding, and automated packaging to support the increase in the regional demand for Fasson labels. The centre in Timisoara also offer a premiere on the local market in the form of the customized slitting through the lossless programmes Fasson Exact and Exact Plus. These are splice-free custom-slitting services that help create additional savings by cutting production costs. They reduces waste due to fewer roll changes, and allows customers to optimise press speed and eliminate rewind costs.
