EnglishOn July 4th, the company Avicola Braşov will submit to its shareholders for approval the plan of taking out a loan of 40 million lei in order to support the company"s production, according to a press release that the company sent to the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The company of Braşov, which is controlled by businessman Ioan Popa, the owner of the Transavia Alba Iulia group, ended the first quarter of the year with a profit of 2.8 million lei, up from 397,000 lei YOY.
During the reviewed period, the company saw its turnover fall 9%, from 24.2 million lei to 22 million lei. The company"s revenues fell 3% during the reviewed period, to 24.7 million lei, whereas its expenses increased 10%, from 25.2 million lei to 27.6 million lei.
Last year, the company increased its profit 80%, from 316,344 lei to 569,590 lei, as its turnover fell 12.86%, from 101.748 million lei to 90.147 million lei.
Popa owns 70.83% of the shares of the Braşov-based poultry maker.
