EnglishInsurance company Aviva subscribed gross premium worth 63,98 million RON (18,5 million EUR) last year, increasing 48,18% from the previous year, in compliance with international accounting standards. Aviva assets increased 34%, reaching 134,56 million RON (40 million EUR). Shah Rouf, CEO of Aviva Life Insurance said he was very happy with last year"s results. He added that Aviva believes the Romanian market offers true potental, which is why the company intends to gain a large market share.
As of October 11th 2000, when the company was officialy launched on the Romanian market, over 400.000 Romanians signed insurance contracts with Aviva. Thus, RON-denominated programs, such as Practic Max and Practic Plus, which include bonds and shares listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, had a significant increase in 2006.
