"Azomureş" sees its profit increase almost 15 times at the end of Q3 2010

"Azomureş" has seen its turnover increase 66.4% in the first nine months of the year, from 525.4 million lei to 874.4 million lei, and its net profit increased almost 15 times, from 6.1 million lei to 89.4 million lei.

The company"s revenues increased 67.3% during the reviewed period, from 517 million lei to 865.2 million lei, whereas its expenses increased at a slower pace (49.7%), from 510.8 million lei to 764.9 million lei.

The plant"s average number of employees increased 5.7%, from 2,480 to 2,623.

The plant is controlled by Turkish investors, through Eurofert Investments and Azomureş Holdings LLC, both registered in the US. The two companies own 56.8%, and 19.05% of the shares. Several other shareholders own 24.1% of the shares.
