The evolution in share price for the five FICs (SIF-Financial Investment Companies) upon the announcement of a possible revision of the 1% stake limit, which would entail the change of their current managers, shows just how big the price discount is for their shares, due to the current limitations, according to a report by Banca Transilvania Asset Management (BTAM).
According to BTAM, the FIC"s are currently trading at a 50-60% percent discount compared to the total value of their holdings.
Shares of the BT Maxim mutual fund were priced at 6.72 lei on Monday, up 7.5% m/m and 27.7% last year. The value of the shares for the "BT Clasic" fund reached 13.75 lei, up 2.6% over the value of the last month, and up 10.5% over the last year.
In the case of "BT Index", the value of the fund"s share is 6.33 lei, up 5% in the last month and down 14.3% in the last year.
