EnglishBanca Transilvania has lowered 0.25% the interest rate offered for EUR-denominated deposits and Kid Cont accounts and increased by half a percentage point the interest rate offered for 18 months EUR-denominated deposits. The interest offered for Kid Cont accounts for underaged customers was lowered to 4.75% from 5%, whereas the interest offered for EUR-denominated deposits was decreased by 0.25% to 3.5% for 1-month deposits, 4% for 3-month deposits, 5% for 6-month deposits and 4.75% for 9-month and 1-year deposits. In the first nine months of 2007, the bank opened 69 branches across the country, increasing the network to 410 branches and 5,500 employees.
