EnglishBanca Transilvania posted a net profit of 79,55 million RON (25.4 million EUR) in the first six months of 2007, recording a 35% increase from 58.7 million RON in the same period last year, according to a company press release.
Gross profit rose by 48%, amounting to 93.47 million RON in the first half of the year. Total revenues reached 1.039 billion RON, while expenses totalled 946.34 million RON. Net revenues increased by 54% to 375.32 million RON, whereas net expenses advanced 48%, amounting to 248.66 million RON.
Total asets amounted to 9.889 billion RON (3.15 billion EUR) in H1, up 22% from the previous semester. The bank"s loan portfolio totalled 6.414 billion RON (2.05 billion EUR) in the first six months, marking a 30% increase from the same period last year. Deposits totalled 7.05 billion RON (2.25 billion EUR).
Banca Transilvania is listed on Tier 1 of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as TLV. The bank has a share capital of 393.354 million RON (118.8 million EUR) and a market capitalisation of 3.67 billion RON (1.15 billion EUR).
