Banca Comerciala Romana (the Romanian Commercial Bank, BCR) has started a new line of business, the BCR Fleet Management, which will lease and rent light road vehicles.
BCR Fleet Management SRL is wholly owned by BCR Leasing IFN SA, which contributed 900,000 RON to its capital in exchange for 9,000 shares. The capital was paid on 28 August 2009.
The Directors, appointed for a term of office ending on 25 August 2010 are: Claudiu Emanuil Stanescu, Razvan Marian Paduraru and Cornelia Maria Radu.
BCR Leasing Chief Executive Claudiu Emanuil Stanescu in April 2008 had stated that Erste was evaluating the opportunity to establish an operational leasing company as the market was still in an early phase and presented a significant growth potential.
BCR SA holds 92.14 per cent in BCR Leasing IFN, whereas Financiara SA holds 7.39 per cent. Various individual shold together the remaining 0.47 per cent.
