The BET index, reflecting the ten most liquid shares on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) gained 6.13% yesterday to 3365.23 points, while the BET-FI gained 14.25% to 16245.70 points. The composite index BET-C gained 6.27% to 2533.24 points. The BET-XT, reflecting the 25 most liquid shares on BVB climbed 7.8% to 331.13 points, while the BET-NG, reflecting the ten energy companies listed on BVB gained 8.28% to 440.39 points. The overall value of transactions performed yesterday reached 28.93 million RON. Petrom (SNP) were the most liquid shares, with transactions totalling 3.54 million RON. Some 16.45 million shares in Petrom were traded for prices between 0.2080 and 0.2210 RON. The reference quotation gained 8.46% to 0.2180 RON/share. Among the financial investment firms (SIFs), SIF Muntenia (SIF4) gained 13.28% to 0.7250 RON. Approximately 4.67 million shares were traded for 3.35 million RON. SIF Moldova (SIF2) climbed 14.40% to 0.7150 RON as 3.76 million shares were traded for 3.65 million RON. The price fluctuated between 0.6550 and 0.7150 RON/sahre. In the banking area, some 330,000 shares in BRD were sold for 3.07 million RON, with the price ranging from 8.85 RON and 9.65 RON/share. Mechel - Targoviste (COS) climbed 14.92% to 3.62 RON/share following transactions worth 1,400 RON. Broker Cluj (BRK) increased by 14.86% to 0.17 RON/share. A total of 2,558 bonds were also traded for 2.31 million RON.
