Drug producer Biofarm SA published the preliminary financial results for 2006. Thus, net profit is up 8% compared to 2005, while profit rate reaches 22%.
In 2005, Biofarm posted net revenues of over 50 million RON and net profit amounted to 11.7 million RON.
According to company representatives, the profitability increase was due to their strategy of introducing new products in the market, modifying and improving the existing ones, as well as entering other commercial markets.
Currently, Biofarm is a leader in several pharmaceutical markets, such as the digestive products market. Last year, the company made significant investments in research and product launch campaigns.
Biofarm SA is listed in the first category of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. In 2006, the price of BIO shares appreciated by 29.41% and since the beginning of 2007 it increased by 4.64%.
