Between May 16th and May 18th, Eurocopter România, a joint-venture between the Eurocopter group and IAR Ghimbav, controlled by the Romanian state, will participate in the third edition of the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace 2012 (BSDA) fair, which will be held at Romaero Bucharest and which hosts the most powerful companies in the aeronautical, defense and national and private security sectors. At this event, Eurocopter will display two of its star aircraft - EC 135 and TIGER.

The Eurocopter Group has been present in Romania since 2002, being headquartered in Ghimbav, where it employs 142 employees. The core activity of Eurocopter România is represented by the helicopter maintenance services, in particular maintenance and repairs for Puma and Super Puma, helicopter families which are used in over 40 countries.
The company has developed activities which are related to the civil, parapublic and military markets. Eurocopter Romania markets and sells the entire range of new helicopters under the Eurocopter brand in Romania and in the neighboring countries and provides technical support to its customers. Eurocopter România is also the key industrial center in the Eurocopter Group for the revisions/repairs and modernization of the Puma helicopters in the world. Since the creation of the subsidiary, over 80 Puma helicopters all over the world were repaired by the Romanian company. Eurocopter Romania has grown constantly over the last 10 years, as its turnover has been on a steady upward trend, as it reached 25.8 million Euros last year.
