EnglishBRD Groupe Societe Generale reported a net profit of 168.499.070 RON for the first three months, a 12.28% increase from the same period last year. Assets rose by 2.48% to 28.723.250.898 RON. First quarter revenue totaled 1.798.959.062 RON, up 65.17%, while expenses amounted to 1.592.102.115 RON, increasing by 75.32% from the year-ago quarter.
On March 31st, loans totaled approximately 19 billion RON, increasing by 78% from the similar period last year. Deposits surpassed 20 billion EUR, recording a 36% rise from the first quarter of 2006. Presently, the bank"s branch network exceeds 600 units.
