EnglishBroker Cluj (BRK) and Biofarm Bucharest (BIO) shares will replace Oltchim (OLT) and Azomures (AZO) shares in the BET index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The BVB Index Committee made this decision as the new calculation methodology brings up liquidity as the main criterion for selecting the BET member companies, according to a BVB press release.
The changes and completions brought by the new methodology are ment to increase the transparency of BVB indices and to transform BET and BET-FI indices in veritable underlyings for the Romanian derivatives market and also for structured products, reads the press release.
Starting with August 27, 2007, the new BET structure is: Petrom Bucharest (SNP), BRD Groupe SocGen (BRD), Transelectrica Bucharest (TEL), Banca Transilvania (TLV), Rompetrol Rafinare Constanta (RRC), Impact Developer & Contractor Bucharest (IMP), Antibiotice Iasi (ATB), Turbomecanica Bucharest (TBM), Broker Cluj (BRK) and Biofarm Bucharest (BIO).
The weight of every symbol, the free float and the representation factors will be calculated by BVB on the closing prices of Wednesday, August 22, 2007 and will be disseminated to the public on the same day.
