EnglishBroker Cluj posted a net profit of 20.52 million RON (6.54 million EUR) at the end of H1, up 3.5 times than in the year-ago period following a 4.3 times growth in the firm"s financial gains. For the first six months of the year, the profit was 5.84 million RON.
"The good results of the first half of the year result from a 4.3 times increase in the financial profit. The financial profit accounted for 91% of the company"s net result," a press release announced. The company"s turnover gained 55.2% to 9.4 million RON (2.9 million EUR) in the first six months of the year, compared to the 5.8 million RON posted in the year-ago period.
Broker Cluj has a share capital of 58.26 million RON divided into 116.52 million shares with a face value of 0.5 RON. The main shareholders are Ioan Cartis with 8.19%, Intervalco SA with 6.34%, Anton Ionescu with 4.48%, Petru Prunea with 3.46% and Investco with 6.26%.
At the end of June 2007, Broker Cluj reported overall assets in excess of 138.76 million RON, of which 105.41 million RON in net assets. The unit value of the net assets reached 0.965 RON, up by 6.62% compared to end-May. The firm estimates an increase in net profit to 25.1 million RON from 18.67 million RON at the end of 2006. The market share is expected to increase from 4.47% to 7.11%.
