Yesterday, the stock market recovered the losses it posted on Tuesday, as the BET-C composite index ended the session up 3.2%.
The only exception were the SIFs, as the BET-FI index which tracks their evolution fell 1.5%, to 17,243.35 points, after the European stock markets returned in the red.
Investors reacted to the recovery of the international stock exchanges, after the US Federal Reserve announced on Tuesday that it would keep the interest rates near zero and would take steps to support economic growth.
The index tracking the ten most liquid stocks closed up 3.12%
Shares of companies in the energy sector drove the BET-NG index up 2.9%, after it had fallen 16.2% in the sessions of Friday, Monday and Tuesday.
The extended index of the exchange, BET-XT, which tracks the evolution of the 25 most liquid stocks, including the SIFs and the Proprietatea Fund, advanced 1.83%, gaining back some of the 15.45 drop recorded in the last three sessions.
Turnover reached 87.5 million lei, (20.5 million Euros), 34% less than in the previous session.
The shares of the Proprietatea Fund were again the most traded in the market, with a turnover of 44.4 million lei, and provided 51% of the turnover of the Exchange. The latest trade was performed at a price of 0.4401 lei, up 1.76% over Tuesday"s close. In the first part of the previous session, shares of the Fund reached their lowest level since the listing (0.395 lei/share).
Shares of OMV Petrom (SNP) closed the day up 2.54%, to 0.323 lei, with the fifth largest turnover in the market (3.7 million lei).
Shares of SIF Oltenia (SIF5) fell 3.77%, similar to SIF Banat-Crişana, to 1.02 lei, with the second largest turnover of the market, 6.9 million lei.
Three deals were performed between 16:18 and 16:21: BRD (3.9 million lei), Banca Transilvania (2.4 million lei) and OMV Petrom (2.1 million lei). The deal with BRD shares was performed at 11.39 lei, up 6.45% over Tuesday"s close, and the deal involving Banca Transilvania shares was concluded at 1.071 lei, up 4.39% over the reference price.
The special trade involving OMV Petrom shares was also performed at a price above the market (+2.86%), as the shares were traded at 0.324 lei.
On the main market, the shares of BRD rose 3.74% to 11.1 lei, and the shares of Banca Transilvania rose 3.51%, to 1.062 lei. Turnover of BRD amounted to 3.4 million lei, and the shares of Banca Transilvania had a turnover of 3.8 million lei.
