Bucharest Mayor Sorin Oprescu visited Burghele Hospital on Friday to inspect the progress of the renovation works financed by the City and performed in several hospitals this year. The management of 18 hospitals has been recently transferred from the Ministry of Health to the Bucharest City Hall.
"The Bucharest City Hall has allocated over 1 million RON to Burghele Hospital, to finance the modernization of four operating rooms and to replace 45 year-old carpentry. The total budget allocated for medical equipment was over 8 million RON and we intend to allocate more funds for this purpose," Mayor Oprescu told Agerpres.
In turn, Burghele Hospital Manager Petru Armean said the hospital would undergo capital repairs and receive additional new medical equipment within a budget of 2.5 million RON.
