EnglishConstruction industry owners and unions intend to open a private pension company that could perhaps participate in the optional private pension program. Dan Cristescu, the president of the union federation FSG Familia stated that the construction companies and workers already had a Builders Welfare Co. and a Tradesmen"s Co. The announcement was made yesterday upon the presentation of the Sectorial Social Agreement of the Construction Industry. Among the near-future objectives of the cement industry are a coherent legal framework, a 5% VAT on social construction projects and VAT payment upon invoice collection and a minimum wage raise by 200 RON per year.
