Cameron to Invest 63 Mln USD in Ploiesti Plant

US-based oil and gas company Cameron will set up a manufacturing plant in Ploiesti, the investment amounting to 63 million USD. The plant will manufacture surface equipment for specialized markets in Europe, Africa, Russia and the Mediterranean and Caspian areas. The manufacturing facility will be inaugurated next year and will employ approximately 300 people. The plant will occupy a surface area of 11,500 square meters.

In November 2004, Cameron acquired the Sterom plant in Campina, which currently manufactures standard surface equipment. The Ploiesti plant will manufacture more expensive products for complex applications.
