The total revenues of CEZ Group have increased by 6.5 billion Czech crowns in 2006, gaining 29,1% from 2005, according to a press release from the Romanian subsidiary of the company. Electrica Oltenia has also contributed to this growth.
Thus, in 2006, the total revenues of CEZ Romania reached 10,39 billion Czech crowns, whereas for the last trimester of 2005 the company reported revenues of 2,59 billion Czech crowns. The operational profit before interest and tax (EBIT) amounted to 1,11 billion Czech crowns in 2006, compared to 63 billion crowns-EBIT in the last trimester of 2005.
Employing 3.007 people, the Romanian subsidiary of CEZ Group had an electricity supply level of 8,6 TWh in 2006, while in the last three months of the previous year, the company supplied 3,2 TWh.
CEZ Romania, subsidiary of the Czech group CEZ, was founded in 2005 through the acquisition of the majority stake in Electrica Oltenia. The company operates in electricity distribution and supply.
