Shareholders in chemical producer Chimopar SA Bucharest have approved a share capital increase by approximately 3 million RON through cash injection, according to a report to the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The company will issue 1,175 million shares with a face value of 2,50 RON.
Chimopar posted losses of 2,728 million RON (775.000 EUR) for the first nine months of 2006, compared to a profit of 181.632 RON, obtained in the first three quarters of the previous year. For the first nine months of 2006, the company reported a turnover of 22,554 million RON (6,407 million EUR), down 12,64% from the corresponding period of 2005, when Chimopar posted 25,78 million RON (7,3 million EUR) in turnover.
Chimopar shares are traded on the "unlisted" category of BSE, under the symbol CPR. The company has a share capital of 20,5 million RON, divided into 8,19 million shares. The majority shareholder is Jafco Holding Romania, with over 73% in the company.
