Cluj-Napoca municipal officials invite tenders for works contracts in order to modernize, refurbish and expand the city"s public lighting system. Among other things, the contracts include the installation of new light poles and luminairs for public lighting. The targeted locations are streets, pedestrian alleys, playgrounds and collective housing areas.
The estimated value for the first contract is between 5.69 and 8.9 million RON. The works are divided into 17 parts, ranging from 80.000 to 740.000 RON. These contract will be awarded one at a time, starting from February.
Another contract involves expanding the lighting system to areas which lack public lighting, and its estimated value lies between 500.000 RON and 1.5 million RON. The auctions will begin on July 20th and the works start on Sepember 20th and they will be finalized by December 2007.
The public lighting on Eroilor Boulevard will also be modernized, especially in the northern area. The project will be put out to tender on February 26th and the works will start on April 25th and will be finalized by September.
Thus, all the works contracts will have to be finalized in three months from the day they were awarded. Financing comes from budget money and other legally constituted sources.
