Coca-Cola Romania posted for last year a gross profit of 22,26 million RON, similar to the company"s earnings in 2005, namely 21,96 million RON, according to data published in the Official Gazette, quoted by NewsIn. Business totaled 53,3 million RON, gaining over 16% from 2005, when the company posted 45,79 million RON in turnover. Last year, Coca-Cola Romania had approximately 30 employees.
Coca Cola is present on the Romanian market through Coca-Cola Romania and Coca-Cola HBC Romania. Between 2002 and 2006, Coca-Cola HBC Romania invested 136 million EUR in order to modernize the company. Two new bottling lines were installed at the Ploiesti and Vatra Dornei plants. Also, the company increased the storage capacity of the two plants by 30%.
Last year, Coca-Cola HBC Romania invested mostly in infrastructure and logistics, as well as in product quality. The company launched new products and marketing strategies, at the same time focusing on employee programmes.
