"The good results were possible due to the success of product categories that already existed in our portfolio, such as accessories and peripherals, flash memories, optical storage media, as well as new ones, including monitors and systems, video cameras and batteries. The support offered to our partners led to an increase in their business and, implicitly, to the consolidation of the market share of our products," Combox Delivery GM Vlad Dumitru told NewsIn.
According to him, marketing efforts focused on the niches neglected by other players enabled the company to maintain high profitability, despite the overall decrease in margin on the IT market as a result of more intense competition, the major retailers" pressure on price and the increase in Asian production prices.
Earlier this year, the company signed an exclusive distribution contract with the Taiwanese-based memory manufacturer Silicon Power and is preparing to also distribute Citizen products. Combox Delivery is also focusing on promoting the proprietary brand Serioux (IT accessories, storage media, MP3/4 players plus future GPS-based navigation devices, video cameras and computers. For the moment, Combox Delivery distributes products by Aiptek, Grundig, HP, InfiniMax, LG, Miyako, Serioux, VMARK, VMK and Zioncom.
