Conpet SA Ploiesti yesterday reported a net profit of 6.8 million RON for the first quarter, declining 27.6% compared with 9.49 million RON in the same period last year, according to a report to Rasdaq quoted by NewsIn. Revenue totaled 70.61 million RON, down 5% from the year-ago quarter.
Conpet ended 2006 with a net profit of 28,85 million RON (8,54 million EUR), increasing 87% from 15.43 million RON in the past year. The company will disburse dividends worth 13.48 million RON, while 11.17 million RON will be added to reserves. Last year, turnover totaled 266.73 million RON (79 million RUR), down 1% from 2005. Revenue amounted to 315.64 million RON (93.4 million EUR), while expenses totaled 278.74 million RON (82.4 million EUR).
Crude oil transporter Conpet Ploiesti, listed on Rasdaq as COTE, has a share capital of 28.57 million RON, divided in nearly 8.66 million shares with a face value of 3.30 RON. The majority shareholder is the Authority for State Assets Recovery (AVAS) with 67.20% in the company, followed by Proprietatea Fund (16.06%) and SIF Muntenia (8.92%).
