For the first nine months of 2006, Conserv Buftea S.A. reported a turnover of 14.757.412 RON, 2.512.271 RON lower than in the similar period of 2005, total revenues of 17.789.412 RON (18.599.305 RON first nine months 2005) and a net profit of 1.112.790 RON (1.158.549 RON first nine months 2005).
On October 10th 2006, the company signed a contract with the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fishing - SAPARD program in order to obtain a non-reimbursable financial aid for the modernization of Buftea canning factory.
The value of this project is estimated at 14.652.888 RON and the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fishing will grant the company non-reimbursible financing of maximum 7.326.444 RON, the equivalent of maximum 50% of the project"s value. The modernization of the canning factory will lead to a 37% increase in production, to approximately 9000 tons/year, compared to 6583 tons produced in 2005.
